Wow, it’s cool, the panels are light, of course they are, they have two sheets of OSB with 5-1/2″ of Styrofoam. Two guys can trow them around like a door. While I was in a networking meeting with Kathy Banak (Authentic Home) and Julie Bennet introducing them to each other and as you would know it they are in a spinning class together. Well I got a call int he middle of the meeting that the Flatbed with the Sips was leaving Tacoma and heading to Seattle to my project, Cool!
I headed over to Beacon Hill and there is the truck with two loads of panels.
After unloading the panels, the building inspector showed up and was looking to see what’s going on? We didn’t call for an inspection, but that’s cool, we had everything going by the book. It was great that he stopped by and chatted with Dan (Fine Construction PM) and I. Just a week ago we tour off the roof and hopefully by Saturday the trusses will be installed and the roof will have felt installed, so the roof and structure is weathered in, 2 weeks form tearing off a roof to trusses felted in, that’s aggressive!
The panels are being installed and it’s cool, I can’t wait to do more.
More panels going up.
Fine Construction is proud of their construction projects and if the project is clean and organized the carpenters can find what they are looking for and we can see what we have. I was down near the water and I stopped to talk to this carpenter about the project they were doing and then I looked around and there was garbage everywhere, then one of the carpenters was upset because he couldn’t find anything.
Tomorrow the balance of wall panels, Trusses come at 8am and hopefully Ron our framing lead will have the guys installing the trusses and most of them will be in-place tomorrow afternoon. I might have to bring lots of coffee and donuts.
